QUEER & TRANS NOTARY CLINIC (Copy)

Do you have a document that needs notarized to protect you and your family? On Sunday, December 8th, Grover Wehman-Brown, a trans parent and licensed notary in the state of Massachusetts, is offering a notary clinic for LGBTQ community members and any other community members who will be at increased risk after January 20th, 2025. This may include the notarization of wills and other legally binding paperwork. Please use the booking form below to book a 15-minute slot on December 8th.

This event is free of charge and co-sponsored by the Queer Joy Collaborative. Donations are welcome to cover the cost of insurance and other operating expenses including space rental. The customary charge for notary services is a minimum of $10 a document. They will have a Venmo and PayPal QR code on site. Donations to the Queer Joy Collaborative are also welcome here.

More Info About Notarization:

  • Please arrive to the clinic with all the paperwork read and completed EXCEPT your signature - you must sign a notarized document in front of the notary.

  • You will need a state issued photo ID for most notary documents.

  • If you do not have a US ID, you can use a state-issued ID from another country.

  • If it is a document requiring two people's signatures to be notarized, both people must be in person at this event.

  • If the document needs a witness, please let me know when you book. If you're able to bring a witness, that would be great! If not, I will plan to have a witness on site at that time.

About the Notary:

Grover Wehman-Brown is a trans nonbinary and queer parent who's navigated name change, second parent adoption, and other paperwork labyrinths. They became a notary amidst the uptick of anti-trans, anti-LGBTQ, and anti-immigrant laws in order to serve their community. Grover’s notary commission ends on October 4, 2030.
