Hamlet | Accessibility Committee Lead | Board Member

Hamlet Cooper has loved music since before they were born, and they have been singing almost non-stop the past 30 years. Hamlet has a passion for building and facilitating queer and trans community in their adopted home of Western Massachusetts. In college and throughout their adult life they have engaged in informal disability justice work and self-advocacy, and are beyond proud to be co-chairing the Accessibility Committee of the QJC, as well as serving as a member-at-large on the Board of Directors. The Accessibility Committee was formed to try to anticipate and respond to the access needs of QJC members, as well as provide COVID supplies and advisement to the Board on COVID policies, as part of QJC's mission to foster community care and mutual aid. They live in Franklin County with their cat Pumpkin and a rotating cast of friendly ceiling-spiders.
